The Anglican Church of the Word is a member of the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA)
and as a member we are in the mainstream, both globally and historically of Christianity - The Biblically Faithful way of following Jesus and being part of the “One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church”. As Anglicans, our orthodoxy is defined by, and centered on, our church’s classic formularies - The Book of Common Prayer, including the Ordinal, and The Thirty Nine Articles - which all point back to the authority of the Holy Bible and articulated foundational principles of the Anglican tradition throughout the world. We wholeheartedly embrace The Jerusalem Declaration (PDF), The founding declaration of the Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans.
We are a multi-cultural, multi-generational
congregation, worshipping our Lord in a mix of traditional and contemporary Anglican worship styles.
We welcome all persons; those who think they have
no faith, little faith or much faith.
We pray that wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you will
recognize our Lord as He walks with you, so we can all echo the disciples
on the road to Emmaus: "Were not our hearts burning within us while he
talked with us ...and opened the Scriptures to us?" (Lk 24:32 NIV)
Our Parish is excited about the ongoing search process and looking forward to having a new Rector. We at the Anglican church of the Word look forward to new local pastoral leadership, denominational guidance from ACNA, and the new Ministries that the Holy Spirit is already preparing for our renewed congregation.
May our Lord be known to all of us in the breaking of Bread.
We are called to worship God together, equipped by
the Word of God to reach out to the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in
the Power of the Spirit.
We are committed to
Evangelism through Church planting,
fulfilling Christ’s Great Commandment
and Great Commission
