ACOW Annual Christmas Party - 2011

As in previous years, ACOW's Christmas party took place in the Faith Christian hall.  The food was great, the fellowship wonderful and everybody enjoyed it.

Thanks to Jenny Bretana, we have photos of this happy occasion, which can be viewed by clicking here. (Note that there are 3 pages to this photo album, and you can click on each one individually, enlarge it to full size as indicated under the picture, print it and/or save it.

Thank you to the worship team whose dedication of preparing and leading worship blesses us in our time with our Lord

Mowing and Cleanup Day, August 20, 2011

We had a "work day" to brighten up the property. We mowed the grass, "weed whacked" (if that is a real phrase), trimmed bushes, tree limbs, etc.  A wonderful and fun-filled teamwork activity.

Ordination of Deacon Jonathan Smith, July 27, 2011

Jonathan Glenn Smith of our church was ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons (as a Transitional Deacon to the priesthood) on Wednesday July 27, 2011, by Bishop John Miller.  Visiting clergy included members of the Anglican Mission, other Anglican denominations and the Presbyterian Church of America. There were also many friends and family of the Ordinand, Jonathan.

Jonathan will be ordained a priest in about 6 months.  Jonathan was formally presented to the Bishop by Fr. Don Curran (our Network Leader) and by our Senior and Junior Wardens, John Marinello and Karl Daly.  Jonathan received his Deacon's stole from his wife Ivey Rose who also placed the stole on his shoulder for the first time.  As remembrances of his Ordination, Deacon Jonathan received a Bible from the Bishop; a set of Stoles from the Vestry; and a Christian watch from the Youth of the Parish.

In addition, and in a surprise spiritual moment, Bishop Miller washed the Ordinand's feet (not a normal part of an Ordination)

A reception followed in the Parish Hall.  It was a truly glorious evening.

AMIA Winter Conference, February, 2011

There are 2 parts to this section of the Photo Gallery.  The first contains some photos taken by Audrey (for which we thank her) and the second are pieces of music recorded at the conference (thank you, Margaret.)

Deacon Flo just finished getting ready to process for the first time in the Procession of the Clergy at the conference, with our Priest, Fr. Cass.

This green bike is like the one our Parish purchased to make coffee deliveries easier.

Here is a photo of one of the bikes used to bring bags of coffee to sell in Rwanda.
